Project Description:

This project aims to develop an integrated geographic information platform, intuitive to use, intended for archaeologists and heritage technicians, that enables:

    • Automation of the consolidation of the various sources of heritage and territorial information of a region, to produce an integrated but multifaceted view of a territory and its various archaeological and heritage sites;
    • Automation of the processing of the integrated information, using image processing and artificial intelligence techniques to detect archaeological sites.

With the outcome of this project it will be possible to significantly increase the speed and accuracy in the detection of these sites, a fundamental aspect for the identification, investigation, safeguarding and conservation of our heritage, therefore it will be incorporated into the portfolio of services that ERA provides to its customers.

The project strengthens research, technological development and innovation, the basis for safeguarding and conserving heritage and providing new and better services to our customers.
