The Odyssey Sensing Project is a research, technological development and innovation project, conducted in a business environment, which aims to contribute to the fulfillment of the mission of ERA Arqueologia, S.A. to produce knowledge, safeguard, preserve and enhance the historical and archaeological heritage.
This is a project developed by a consortium led by ERA Arqueologia, S.A. in partnership with the University of Aveiro and the University of Maia, and co-financed by CRESC Algarve 2020, Portugal 2020 and FEDER. It aims to develop an integrated platform for geographic information, intuitive to use, aimed at archaeologists and heritage technicians, which automates the consolidation of the various sources of heritage and territorial information of a region, generating an integrated but multifaceted view of a territory and its different archaeological and heritage sites. It also aims to automate the processing of integrated information, using image processing and artificial intelligence techniques to detect archaeological sites.
